Incredible staff first of all, staff is super skilled and welcoming, short testing times compared to other centers, pharmacy is right there, all supported by AHF and the thrift shop... the whole model makes sense and this team executes it on a level that has me refusing to go anywhere else for care. Dr Fanto and Tyson are amazing and changed how I feel about doctors. Thank you all so much for the positive impact you have on our health and lives!
Top-notch care with AHF, where you can get free STI testing (HIV, gonorrhea, chlamydia, syphilis) with results in just 2-5 business days! The process is fast, easy, and discreet (they use a number system, so you dont need to worry about your name being used in the lobby). Free treatment for any positive results.Beyond testing, AHF also offers HIV PrEP services and same-day prescription refills through their on-site pharmacy. The staff is incredibly friendly, helpful, and truly treats you like family, making you feel comfortable and supported throughout your visit. Highly recommend for anyone looking for professional and compassionate care!Hours: Mon - Fri 10:20 AM - 6:00 PM (closed for lunch 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM). Occasionally the hours vary based on unforeseen circumstances, but the staff does an excellent job getting you in and out in a timely manner!
My PCP would require a week+ to get an appointment. AHF made it easy to get tested with their walk-in availability and got in about 10 minutes after check in! Everyone was so friendly and great at educating. Would recommend checking out the adjoined thrift store as well!

Testing is open Monday - Friday from 10:20 AM - 6pm, the staff closes up from 2pm-3pm for lunch. This location only does testing for HIV, Chlamydia/Gonorrhea, and Syphilis only. Treatment is free if you receive a positive result!
Oof…went in 8/22/24 to get bloodwork/STI testing done so I could get back on Prep. Test results were never uploaded so I thought I was clear.Just got a call today from an AHF representative and turns out I’m not in the clear. Today is 9/17/2024, this is almost 4 weeks later that I’m getting my results. Again…test results still not uploaded to my portal. I immediately went to the clinic to find out what happened and to try to get treated.Very unacceptable. It’s the fourth Prep establishment to have failed me (clinic in Austin, online providers Q Care Plus and Mistr).
Super friendly staff and clean facility!! I am shocked that they are able to provide free STD testing. I went to another place before here and of course they wanted $328 to get testing which I personally feel should be free for everyone at all times. Really helped me out while in between jobs and waiting for insurance to kick in. I HIGHLY recommend this place to all. Results are sent online so you have something to refer back to whenever you need to. They have multiple convenient locations you can get to via train and bus and just a god send of a business.
Absolutely wonderful experience with the whole staff. Dr. Lagucik and everyone from the clinic and pharmacy have been so helpful, kind and courteous. Seeking gender affirming care was serious hurdle for me, but all of the folks at AHF have made me feel totally comfortable and well taken care of. Stellar people all around!
Jumping the gun with first time experience. But soon as we entered the thrift shop; every agency there was alert and friendly! Noticed my lost eyes and asked me what I was looking for. But the best part is the wait was fairly short. Kind of hard sitting and waiting with the idea of thrift shopping waits just a few steps away. 😅 so thats what I did after I got done while waiting on my partner..
The team at AHF Wellness Center in Lakeview is incredible and extremely responsive. From their welcoming energy to in-depth knowledge on my health, I felt taken care of and would highly recommend contacting them if you are in need of guidance or have any questions about your health.
